About Me
Hi, I'm Dilshan.
Born in Sri Lanka, raised in Bristol and shaped by years spent living in Australia, Germany and France, I've had the opportunity to work alongside people from a wide range of backgrounds. Those experiences have shaped how I approach recruitment today. I know first-hand what diverse teams can achieve, and I'm passionate about building hiring practices that make them possible.
I've worked in recruitment for over 20 years, starting out in agency recruitment before moving in-house in 2014 with a major bank in Sydney. Since then, I've recruited across numerous international markets, including North America, Europe and APAC.
For over a decade, I've been closely involved in diversity hiring initiatives, helping businesses grow and build genuinely diverse teams. It's an area I'm particularly passionate about, and the benefits speak for themselves. Diverse teams bring different perspectives, solve problems more effectively, drive innovation and ultimately deliver better business outcomes. I'm also proud to be an AIRS Certified Diversity Recruiter.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me on a bike or out for a run. I also enjoy golf, skiing, hiking and yoga, and I've jumped out of a plane three times (so far!).
Travel is another big passion of mine, with 42 countries ticked off and counting.
