L2 Technical Support Engineer | Data | Data Platform | Azure | Databricks | ServiceNow

We’re currently seeking an L2 Technical Support Engineer with strong data platform experience to support a major retail client.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex technical issues and can communicate confidently with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.


📍 Hybrid (Leeds-based, 2–3 days onsite)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve L2 technical support tickets via ServiceNow
  • Troubleshoot advanced issues across software, hardware, and network environments
  • Analyse logs, replicate issues, and deliver detailed root-cause analysis
  • Collaborate closely with L1 support and escalate to L3 where appropriate
  • Monitor system performance and ensure platform stability
  • Participate in on‑call rotations for out‑of‑hours support when required 

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years’ experience in technical support for a data platform
  • Hands-on experience resolving data pipeline code issues in Databricks
  • Working knowledge of Azure and related cloud services
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks
  • Strong experience with SQL and database management
  • Workflow monitoring and optimisation using ADF, Azure Databricks, Airflow, and other Azure services
  • Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or Zendesk
  • Competence with scripting languages: Bash, PowerShell, Python
