Data Analyst
Job Title: Data Analyst – Knowledge Graphs & Ontologies
Location: Flexible, with once-a-week in Bristol (or less if further away)
Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 DOE
Security: Must be eligible for SC Clearance (British citizen or UK resident for last 5 years)
About the Role:
We’re seeking a Data Analyst to extract insights from connected data company-wide. Using Knowledge Graphs and ontologies, you’ll uncover patterns, anomalies, and relationships that span missions, sensor logs, production, and organisational processes, helping drive both operational and strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
● Analyse connected data using SQL and Cypher to reveal relationships and dependencies
● Ensure incoming data aligns with defined ontologies and maintain data quality
● Build real-time dashboards to visualise system states, networks, and metrics
● Apply statistical methods to detect patterns and anomalies
● Translate complex analysis into clear, executive-level summaries for Operations and R&D
● Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support mission debriefs and failure investigations
What We’re Looking For:
● 3+ years in data analysis or business intelligence in a technical environment
● Strong Python skills (pandas, NumPy) and advanced SQL; Cypher experience a plus
● Proven data storytelling and visualization skills (PowerBI, Grafana, Plotly, Streamlit)
● Understanding of data modeling, schemas, and governance
● Solid statistical foundations (distributions, correlation vs. causation, regression)
● Geospatial analysis experience (GIS, trajectory analysis) is valued
