Job Title: Data Engineer (Azure) | Fluent Czech required

Location: Prague, Czechia Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)

We’re looking for a Data Engineer with solid hands-on experience in Azure Data Lake and modern data engineering practices to join a forward-thinking data team.

 

You’ll play a key role in integrating new data sources, building and optimising data pipelines, and ensuring a robust, scalable data platform architecture across Azure environments.

 

What you’ll be doing

● Integrating new data sources (APIs, databases, streaming platforms like Kafka)

● Developing and managing data flows in Azure Data Lake across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers

● Designing and implementing metadata-driven solutions within a metadata framework

● Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and contributing to the release process

● Building and maintaining DWH tables in Azure SQL, including SCD2 implementation and star schema design

● Developing and optimising ETL/ELT processes in Python/PySpark for performance and scalability

 

What we’re looking for

● 1+ year working with Azure Data Lake (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)

● 1+ year of experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes

● 1+ year of experience designing tables in Azure SQL

● Proven experience integrating new data sources (APIs, databases, Kafka, etc.)

● 2+ years of DWH development experience, including SCD2 and star schema design

● Hands-on experience with metadata frameworks and metadata-driven solutions

● Strong proficiency in Python/PySpark for data transformations and ETL development
