Iain Brook

Practice Lead -
Data & Engineering

Not always a specialist in recruiting Software Engineers, Iain spent the early years of his life in rural Hertfordshire, pressing the joyous sounds of his saxophone upon anyone within earshot of his home. Growing up, he was also no stranger to the shores of his parents’ beloved Scotland, the land from which his name (with the correct spelling) derives.

Once he was too big for his life jacket & had finally grown into his sizeable childhood teeth, he took himself off to Newcastle University to study Politics. Deciding the coveted life of a politician wasn’t right for him he decided to explore the world before finally landing in Bristol.

Iain joined specialist IT recruitment company Opus, cutting his teeth (do you see what we did there?!) on headhunting professionals within the software development space. Four years later & equipped with an understanding of what challenges the recruitment world can face, he decided it was time to encourage a genuine change to the industry. Revoco felt the same & the rest is history!

In his spare time, Iain is a regular festival-goer & continues to travel as much as he can, forever in pursuit of the best food the world has to offer.

Iain is our Go / Golang recruitment specialist. You can sign up to his Gopher Gold newsletter here.

When it comes to hiring software engineers, he’s regarded among the best of the best. Whether you represent a company looking to hire someone experienced in using Go, or you’re a candidate looking for a new job in Go yourself, he’s a brilliant port of call.
