The Role

As Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll play a leading role in driving origination, deepening strategic relationships, and accelerating revenue growth across multiple specialist verticals. You’ll manage complex, high-value deals while influencing commercial strategy and mentoring others in the team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Origination & Revenue Leadership

  • Build and manage a pipeline of high-value client relationships across target sectors.
  • Lead complex deal structuring and negotiations with senior stakeholders.
  • Drive sustained revenue growth and portfolio expansion aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine commercial models and go-to-market frameworks.

2. Leadership & Mentorship

  • Coach and guide junior and mid-level team members to enhance performance.
  • Help shape sales playbooks, pitch strategies, and pricing frameworks.
  • Contribute to hiring and onboarding new commercial talent as the team scales.

3. Market Engagement & Collaboration

  • Represent the business at client meetings, events, and conferences.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Risk, Compliance, and Operations to ensure scalable, compliant delivery.
  • Feed market intelligence and competitive insight into product and pricing strategies.
  • Support executive strategy sessions and provide input to board-level discussions.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in business development, relationship management, or corporate banking.
  • Proven success generating revenue in sectors such as Wealth, Marine, Aviation, or HNWI-focused markets.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and risk within regulated environments.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to influence outcomes and mentor others.
  • A strategic mindset, commercial creativity, and the drive to deliver results.
