Alex grew up in the beautiful seaside village of Arnside, on the edge of the lovely Lake District. His childhood was spent trekking through the various Wainwright Mountains with his Dad, as well as supporting the family football team of Blackburn Rovers although, he is seen as their bad luck charm, because since their Premiership win in 94/95 (the same year as Alex arrived in the world) they have suffered constant relegation and defeat!
Eschewing the typical post Sixth form summer of festivals, Alex spent 3 months volunteering in Kenya and Tanzania, followed by the summiting of Mt Kilimanjaro when he was just 17. This was literally the high point of his life! After his summer of exotic travels, Alex decided to pursue his dream of higher office by studying politics at the University of Exeter. After three fantastic years of fun, friends and drinking (and some studying of course as he did get a 1st after all) Alex headed back home to be with his beautiful pooches (yes, another dog lover). After a couple of years at home the big city came calling and Alex moved to the bright lights of Bristol to join the #turningthepage revolution with Revoco.
Alex spends his time outside of the recruitment world exploring all the food and drink scene that Bristol has to offer, whether sampling the many gin bars, eating out, or getting his chef on for his friends. He can always be found planning out his next big adventure, whether jaunts abroad or his next big charity challenge.
